Nominations Now Open for NEA RA Delegates to the NEA Convention / Region Council Offices

Attention MEA members,

The elections nomination window for the local/cluster NEA RA Delegates to the NEA Convention is now open!  The NEA Convention will be held in Dallas, Texas on July 2-6, 2022 (As of right now it is scheduled to be in person.).

In addition, the elections nomination window for the following Region Council Offices is also open: Region Chair, Region Vice-Chair, and Ethnic Minority representative.

If you would like to add your name to the ballot or nominate a co-worker (Please make sure he or she is actually interested!), the window closes February 15, 2022, and the election date is March 2, 2022.

Please let MEA Elections Chair, Marigrace Alonso (malonso@molineschools.org or 743-8941), or Leslie Kahler at the IEA office (Leslie.Kahler@ieanea.org or 797-4126) know if you would like to add your name to the ballot! You can also send a note to the Elections Committee at the IEA Moline Office.

2022 IEA RA Nominations are now open!

Attention MEA members,

The elections nomination window for the IEA RA is now open!  The IEA RA will be held in Rosemont, IL on April 7-9, 2022.

Congratulations MHS – Voted Best Public High School in the QC!

Congratulations to Moline High School!

MHS was voted the “Best Public High School” by the 2021 Quad-City Times Best of the Quad Cities Readers’ Choice Awards (The other finalists were Bettendorf, Pleasant Valley, North Scott, and Davenport Central, all in Iowa; MHS was the only nominated Illinois school.)! Some of the reasons cited were: the new Bartlett Performing Arts Center and MHS Sports Facility and all of the AP, dual credit, and skilled trade classes and apprenticeships.
